Nylon is a non-absorbable, surgical suture composed of long-chain aliphatic polymers, like polyamide nylon 6 and polyamide nylon 6.6. The suture is available undyed or dyed blue or black with harmless dyes.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Precautions<\/b><\/h5>\n

    In handling suture materials, care should be taken to avoid damage from handling. Avoid crushing or crimping damage due to application of surgical instruments such as forceps or needle holders. Adequate knot security requires the accepted surgical techniques.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Synthetic monofilament thread obtained from the extrusion of polyamide pellets. It is inert, non-capillary, and has a smooth surface. Due to its strength, even with very thin diameters, nylon thread is especially suitable for very fine sutures in microsurgery and ophthalmology.
