Polyester is a coated, braided synthetic material, which allows for smooth passage through tissues. It is non-thrombogenic, non-capillary, and provides excellent knot security. Polyester is inert and resistant to bending and tension, with its composition based on polyethylene terephthalate coated with Teflon or silicone.

Braided Polyester is a non-absorbable, surgical suture. Fibers are produced as monofilaments joined by a braiding process. The suture is available in white or dyed green with a TEFLON or SILICONE coating for smooth passage through tissues and for easy handling of the product.
